Can Meta fire you without a PIP?

Short answer: yes. Meta doesn't really do PIPs. A "Meets Some" rating in the performance cycle is the warning, and two of those in a row usually means you're out. Your manager will talk to you, but there's no formal written plan required first. It catches a lot of people coming from Google or Amazon off guard.
