Does the 90 day internal search after the January cuts actually work?
News says people hit by the 16,000 round get about 90 days to find another role inside. Is that real or mostly a formality?

What's on the record so far:• Amazon confirmed about 16,000 corporate cuts on Jan 28, following roughly 14,000 last October. Together that's around 10% of corporate staff.• Beth Galetti (SVP, People Experience and Technology) said most affected US employees get about 90 days to look for internal roles, plus severance, health benefits and outplacement.• Washington WARN filings put separations between April 28 and late June 2026. How many people actually land internal roles hasn't been published, so treat the 90 days as a window, not a promise.Source: fox9.com ↗
